Ick,

We were up against your family a lot. I'd like to get copies of some races.

Kids Open Preliminaries
Races 4 (your son was in the blue lane)
Race 11 (your son was in the yellow lane)
Race 12 (your son was in the black lane)

Kids Open Finals
Race 1 (your son was in the red lane)

Adult Open Preliminaries
Race 13 (you were in the blue lane)
Race 47 (your wife was in the red lane)

Adult Open Finals
Race 5 (you were in the red lane)
Race 6 (you were in the white lane)

I can make the same offer. I recorded each race off the simulcast in which there was a Gosselin. I did miss the second preliminary race in which my son ran. (I had a misfire and the race was over before I could record it.) I'll be happy to post video somewhere for download. Just so you know, there will be no audio with what I recorded.

Thanks for the compliment Paul, you family is fast as well. It was a fun race:)
I'm still pondering how your daughter's car got faster during the Kids Open Finals than it was during the Preliminary rounds. Did she relube the car? She moved out of third and into 2nd, knocking my son down to 3rd. We were surrounded by Laws in that division! :)

Yeah, I have been chasing Scott and his family for 2 years now, but have not been able to catch him yet. Scott, that was some serious hardware your family brought home on Saturday, and some seriously fast cars! Thanks for the inspiration and the great info you have posted here and on your website.

Paul,
I will be happy to post or email you the videos. We have a troop meeting tonight, so it may be tomorrow before I can get them posted.

Yes, we relubed all of the graphite cars for the finals, but I don't think that was the reason she got second. To be honest I don't know exactly, her car was actually faster at home than my older Son's that took first. Usually our cars will run faster when they run with faster cars.... cars bouncing around on either side of you can cause havoc on some cars and not so much on others. I am guessing my daughters car was a little more effected by the other cars, so during the finals she did better.... but that is just a guess.

Although I had to watch most of the racing from a laptop in the post-Op waiting room (my daughter needed an emergency appendectomy on race day), I still enjoyed the races.

My scout and one of my kids took home some hardware, so happy with that.

Plenty of room for improvement for next year!

Congrats also to 5kids and their entries. Very fast cars (and I've learned from him sharing knowledge as well). I'd like to see how many boxes they need to mail all those trophies home, assuming they couldn't attend in person.

Congrats to all who participated. First time we ever mailed cars away for a race and it was fun.

Nice job Gregg on putting together such an event. I can't imagine the hours and hours (hundreds) of time you must have put into this.

Can't wait for next year!

Yeah, 5kids and his family were there in person, but I heard they had to rent a u-haul for all their new hardware

Congratualtions on your hardware too birddog!

I hope your daughter recovers quickly and is in good health!

5Kids,

Great racing!

Any chance you could highlight your builds for us with pictures and info?

I am sure a lot of folks here would appreciate some insight into the lightspeed machines.

I'll second knotthed's request as you were the topic of discussion in the chat channel during the streaming.

Thanks for sharing the info you already have on your website and no doubt, it looked like your efforts paid off on Sat.

Wow. Thanks, Ick!

I'm smiling ear to ear. I wish we had that angle during the simulcast. Makes it so much more exciting. I'll post my footage online in the next day or two in a place where anyone who wants it can download it.

Looked like a bit of an abrupt transition at the end, although this car looked like the only one getting air, which is in the first video of Ick's post. A byproduct of an aggressive COM?

Ick,

Can you check open kids finals Race 1?

I think we should have been in that one, but I don't see our car "Layla"
