For any of you that are coming to Omaha - it is important that you book your room as soon as possible - as Warren Buffet is having his shareholders meeting here in Omaha at the same time of our Race... Here are the 3 places that would be your best options - and close to the event at the most reasonable rates:

* Options

-- Motel 6 @ $70.99 - # (402) 592-2882
10919 J Street - about 5 minutes away from Race

-- Carlise @ $69.99 - # (402) 331-8220
10909 M Street - about 5 minutes away from Race

-- Motel 6 @ 72.82 - # (402) 896-6868
10560 Sapp Brothers Drive - about 3 minutes away from Race

-- Super 8 @ $99 - # (402) 332-5188
14355 NE Hwy 31 - about 12 minutes away (brand new hotel)

I hope this helps those of you that are coming again you will want to book right away as these rooms are going quick.

Truly
Greg

I'm coming in town Friday night. We have 3 boys racing and 2 Dads. We have our rooms reserved.

Is there anything going on the night before races?

Geez, I really need to read the rules better. We entered the open scout division and I just realized I could have used oil. Oh well.

Yeah, I am glad my scout qualified for the "qualified scout division" so I didn't have to deal with oil. I think running graphite makes a more even race when the Pack derby's only allow graphite.

It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't already have krytox just sitting there.

Well, our cars arrived in Omaha today, so we are officially locked in, and ready to roll! Got to speak with Greg Dawes briefly over the phone yesterday. Seems like a really great guy, who has a lot of enthusiasm and excitement about Derby racing. I wish all of you (and Greg) the very best of luck this Saturday!

They have a little over 300 registered for the race, including over 100 proxy racers this year.
