There were a ton of nice cars there.

We added weight, wheels and axles and tuned 5 cars from 4:50 pm till 7:30 pm before leaving for Omaha on Friday evening with a 7-1/2 hour drive ahead of us. Very very tired....

Fenders were in the plan, but didn't make the cut due to time constraints.

Open Scout Oil - 8th overall (Fenders and more tuning time might have gotten a Webelos place as we just missed it by 1)
Evolution 1.2 gram Mid America special wheels run regular orientation, Evolution 94 axles, DerbyPops oil.

Open Scout Graphite - 20th
Derby Worx 1.4 gram wheels, Evolution 91 axles, Max V graphite.
Ran at 4.82 ounces.............Oops!

Open Kids Graphite - 4th
Derby Worx 1.4 gram wheels(From last year),1 odd ball front wheel, Evolution 91 axles, Max V graphite.

Open Adult Graphite - 8th - Mine
Derby Worx 1.4 gram wheels(From last year), Evolution 91 axles, Max V graphite.

Open Adult Graphite - 11th - Wife
Derby Worx 1.4 gram wheels(From last year), Evolution 91 axles, Max V graphite.
Ran with no foil tape on bottom with exposed weights, only thing holding them in was scotch double sided tape and fit.......Oops!

Pro race car was only for a bench marking time, not even built to pro stock class.

For the record, this was not the plan but the Wife's open adult car ran the entire race with only scotch double sided tape and a nice fit in the body holding the 24 cubes in. I about fainted when we went to re graphite and I turned it over. I meant to put foil tape over the back and must have missed it in the rush to get things moving. I don't even know if I had room for more weight or not. I will have to weigh it when I get the chance.

My son finished 13th out of 97 cars in open scout graphite race. He was .0001 behind the 12th place finisher. Average time was 2.9767. He ran 1.5 gram derby worx wheels, axles from the box bent @ 2.5 degrees. He was 5th in webelos 1 so he'll get a trophy. The live stream was great. Thanks to all who worked so hard to put it on!

We had a fun day just watching the livestream and chatting with everyone online. It was fun to root for each others cars as they came up to race. I can't imagine what it must be like to be there in person. Seems like they were handing out door prizes every 5 minutes!

Can't thank Greg enough for all the great work to put on such a fine event.

Here are our results (all cars had 1.4g wheels and 92 grooved axles):

Son took 17th overall in open scout oil division (5th in Bears). I thought this was the toughest division of the day. We sent in the fastest car we've ever built and still got trounced! I think we have a lot to learn when it comes to oil. The times in this division were just blistering fast.

My daughter took 11th overall in open kids division.

I took 9th overall in open adult division.

My son took 4th overall in the open scout graphite division (3rd in Bears (strong Bear group)). This was unexpected as this car was the slowest of all 4 of our cars (at least that's how it ran when we tested it). It is also the car we had to rebuild at the last minute due to a poorly drilled axle hole on the first body. My son was thrilled to see his "my little pony" car do so well.

We had a great day. Son took 2nd in qualified wolfs and 8th overall. Daughters took 3rd and 8th in the kids open. My car dogged out in the finals and finished 12th. Just wanted to say thanks to all the members here where I learned how to compete after getting blown away in last years mid american.

We did fair, but better than last year. My son took 11th in open graphite (4th bear) and got smoked in oil. Our adults cars were in the top third to half and my daughter did fair. Overall fun for all hovering over ipads and PC scatted over the kitchen table (derby command central)

It's funny how close the 11th, 12th &13th place cars finished in the open scout graphite race. They were .0003 apart if I remember right.

I'd like to see a picture of the top 6 cars in each category of scout and adult races. Are they all Hershey Bar cars or are there many different designs? Maybe they could be posted in next years race. It would be nice if the owners would tell us exactly how the car was built but I doubt that's going to happen.
