Re: Sponsorships, donations, and fund raisers?
Ranman,
Thanks for the fundraiser idea. I don’t have any pictures of the trophies. Seems my son took plenty of pictures that day but none were of the trophies. I do have one of the medals that I will mail out to you today.
An idea occurred to me this morning while looking at that medal (hey, they don’t happen as often as they used to so I better ask while I remember… ). Crown has what they call a Mylar Insert on these. How hard would it be to take a picture of the Cub Scout and his pinewood derby car, cut it out and stick it on the medal in place if the mylar insert? We have the camera, computer and printer but lack an easy/quick way of cutting out the picture – anyone have any ideas?
Okay, that’s it – I’ve used up all my mental capacity for the day and at such an early hour too! I may as well go home and go back to bed…

I found some trophy kits here: (Kid, I didn't send you this link)

They are a little more expensive but are 18", 17", and 16".
Anybody ever use these guys?
If they have one, it's not posted on their web.
Crown Awards has a PWD figure. I'm not sure of the best deal here, but I would go with having a PWD car on top of our trophies

I haven't found one at that site either. Man, if they did, it would be a no brainer . I am leaning more to the Crown Awards trophies with the PWD figure, but the size of Trophy Outlet trophies !dave4him wrote:I wish this company had a PWD figure to top off the nice trophies

The one looks more like a soapbox car, but it's still pretty cool. You must have to call and ask for these toppers.
Sorry for the delay in posting pictures.

Mike, great looking trophies. Both of those came from Trophy Outlet? If that's the case, I will have to give them a call because their web site doesn't do them justice.

Yes, both trophies came from the Depot. We are thinking of using them to buy for our Awana race and our adult races for 2006. I will be calling them when I place my order because you are right, the website dosen't do them justice.

I talked with Trophy Outlet last Friday. Their PWD topper is this one:dave4him wrote:I wish this company had a PWD figure to top off the nice trophiesranman106 wrote:

You just specify that figure number when ordering.

Thanks for that link! I love the Victory cups they have on their homepage. Those are very slick. Their price for medals is cheaper than crown...and I like their design better too!
