Very nice :bigups: Thanks for all the photos.

You might want to consider marketing these.

Just a suggestion to those concerned about the securing the car to the trophy. I built several of the 9 car display cases and to secure the cars to the case, I use a small rubber band and drape it over the wheel, under the dowels and back over the other side. You can't see the rubber band and you only need to do one wheel base. You might drill a small hole on either side of the display that would allow you to insert a rubber band and secure the car. With the car on the stand, you will never see the holes.

Very nice trophies! For me the challenge is building new styles each semester (We race AWANA's cars for our Home School co-op spring/fall). I build them using my scroll saw. My challenge right now is coming up with a Master Class trophy. I have an Outlaw trophy design, and am working Speed and Design trophies as well. My goal is to build them as cheap as possible, and being they pretty much only cost me time on the scroll saw, it's not that much!! Pics soon.

Maybe I can get some ideas from y'all.

This one is made from all wood cut out on the scroll saw..
unlike the trophy tubes and placks you have used.
I have made alot of these over the years as well.
And have also been told I should sale them also.
It's never been about makeing money on these for me..
But in seeing that every child went home with one to display there car on.

The photo: Is of one I built for a friend & his son to display his car on with a card for there car shop.

;) Great job guys.

Mark.

Not nearly as much as I'd like to! Teaching these Grand Prix classes makes me get out in the garage and do it though...the kids really look forward to the new trophies each semester (and so do I!! LOL!)

Nice job on the trophies. I like the design and the finish. Very effective. I think you have given everyone here some inspiration.

Talk about inspiration.. M Webb,
Noted: you are from AUSTRALIA, Say are the Scouts there still racing
the "Joey Jeep" ?

Scouts in Canada, call it the Beaver Buggy!

I've never seen the Joey Jeep from Australia.. Hope we can get you to
post some photos sometime.

Sorry if i've went a little :offtopic: with my asking of this!

Thanks for asking. I don't know what the Scouts are racing as I haven't been involved with them. We have our own track and we help out a local AWANA club as well as other local churches who want to hold an event. I would be very happy to help out the Scouts as well if they wanted to have a race.

Matthew, your doing a good service by helping out your local churches
& Awanas clubs.

Sorry if my asking was off topic: About the "joey jeep" and Beaver Buggy.

The Scouts in Canada.. Have a car kit thay call the Beaver buggy.
that has a thin plywood cut out of a Beaver that is used on the car.
Scouts in Australia call it the joey jeep.
