Derby Talk

For you current (or former) Scouting guys:

If you've been to your District Roundtables a few times, you'd probably agree that some are quite invigorating and some are more of a yawner .

Well, a guy I know (not me, Mrs. Bubba would shoot me) is now in charge of our District Roundtables and is looking to spice them up a little.

So here's the question - Are there any topics / presentations that you guys found particularly helpful / invigorating / necessary at a recent (or not so recent) roundtable?

Just looking for ideas.

p.s. Yes, I have already volunteered to bring some of the Team Bubba Pinewood fleet to one of the Roundtables as a display to encourage some of the new leaders with respect to the wide variety of designs that are possible for their boys to build.

I have not been to one, but have contacted people before that went.


I am hoping that the round tables, will gain some interest in the local packs getting into have a Cubmobile type race like the district PWD.

I know that not exactly what you were looking for. So forgive me/
