Prayer Request

Post by SirStorm »

I have a prayer request of my fellow Christians and Brothers in Pine Derby.

Our Pine Car Derby is March 3 2013. We are expecting 400 entries. We have 17 clubs confirmed.

As the Race Director, I am stressed. Volunteers have been hard to find. Conflicts seem to continue to rise even though the venue has been booked for many months. Track issues seem to appear every time we set up for another test. My own family's cars are not ready yet.

I need Strength, Patience, Perspective, Enjoyment, Love, Kindness.......and whatever else you all know it takes.

Thank You

Patrick

Hang in there Patrick, I'm sure everything will work out OK. We'll send a prayer your way.

I hosted my first derby this year, although we only had about 80 racers. Even then, I didn't sleep very well the night before the race with all the coordination issues on my mind.

Although you may not hear it enough, the work you are doing is very much appreciated by the kids and the parents.

Pray as though it all depends on the Lord.
Work as though it all depends on you.
My wife started a new support group... Widows of the Pinewood Derby.

Thanks Guys, it means a lot.

Track is sorted finally. I had to take the coast sections completely apart, measure with a micrometer the center rails, size match and reassemble. No more cars jumping out of the lanes.

Volunteers seem to be materializing.

Setup on Friday, push push push to the end!
