Wanted Used tungsten cubes

Post by sporty »

I am looking for used 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 tungsten cubes.

i thought those that went to rounds, might have some or some retiring racers, have used or extra to sell.

I spend way to much on new every month and looking for a way to lower my cost.

Good Luck!
I recycle all my tungsten. When the fragile cars break, I just pull apart the soft wood, scrape off the glue and they're as good as new. Maybe you could get a wholesale deal from Pinecar or somebody??
I think a lot of us have this same dilemma.

Na, i'm sure something will turn up.

I buy over 2 pounds a year for the past 4 year. Yet still need more.

but thanks for sharing what you do with yours, That's really not what the post was for though.

So lets keep replies and post to people actually having used tungsten that they would like to sell.

I think it would be hard to scrape up stuff from other racers, unless they are getting out of the sport and have some they want to get rid of. They generally would make a post, if that was the case. Most people glue this stuff into their cars and they likely will not want to rip apart their cars to pull the weights out.

I do agree with rpcarpe's suggestion. Just try to buy in bulk and get a discount that way. There is likely to be a vendor that will do that, if you buy enough all at once.

Update,

So far I got one e-mail.

Woodworx says he prefers the rounds over the tungsten cubes and has offered to sell me 8oz used.

If anyone else comes about, that will be great.

Thanks,
