Tesla Model S

Post by Speedster »

Tesla stock has been crushed. There have been 3 fires in the last 6 weeks, the latest being in Smyrna, Tennessee. For those who like to build cars for Best Design, how about a burned up Tesla Model S. It would be fairly easy to do with the use of Bondo. Whoda has taught us how to make a rusty look so the part of the car that wasn't burned could show the rusty look. It's easy to show a burned look simply by holding the car over a flame. Unfortunately, the tires couldn't be melted to show flat tires since the car would have to go down the track. It would be unique and perhaps get a Best Design award. In fact, it might make National News and Tesla might offer to buy it to get it off the market.

This was just a thought in case someone was looking for something a little different.

By Golly, Whoda, I think you're right. Is it possible he has already tried and the thing caught fire?

Charcoal sounds very clever to get a burnt effect. Looking forward to seeing more of your creations. Keep up the Great work.

We were just thinking of the Tesla logo. Given my daughter is making a Sporty spoon and the logo will not sit on a flat surface we are tabling the idea. Would be fun to make a car wreck car though.

Speedsteer & Seth,
Ok, I'm going to go a little :offtopic: with this!

You know guys it just might be fun to build wrecked cars with a burnt look to them!

I have seen two crashed cars together.. all in one car that is a really cool look!
I think the person who done up the wrecked & crashed cars..
was done by Chad.. (I can't recall the last name though!)
Forgive me if I'm wrong with the last name here..(Thoruilson).. I think it was.

The car was built for the Lowes/Dremel contest..
It was a blue & silver SUV & a Purple & yellow Coupe crashed together.

Where have I seen it though.. (Oh"yea! )
I think where I seen it at was in the..
Max-V.. news letter vol 8 issue 7 Dec 24, 2008 in the carshow case.

It might be fun to do up something like this..
with two cars wrecked & crashed together make one car.
Maybe a Tesla and a crashed Mercedes Benz.. how were building for looks on wrecked cars.
Who knows: It might be a fun build to try sometime with a wrecked or burnt effect. ;)
