Mid America Pinewood Derby 2014

Post by xanthrum »

It is getting closer to the Mid America Pinewood Derby - for 2014

May 3rd is the Big day with some cool things happening on May 2nd as well. We have been working very hard at putting together an amazing event for this year. You are all Welcome to participate in the many divisions.

Online Registration is Live - you can register by going to the website - http://www.midamericaderby.com

Lots of upgrades and improvements to an already Epic Event... if you want to race with the Fastest Scout cars in the United States do not miss this... You can attend in person (and we have special rates set up with local hotels) or you can enter via Proxy. We have invested a lot of resources and time to have an awesome Live Broadcast of this years event - along with many upgrades to the 3 Best Tracks that we will run all the races on.

We will have the following Divisions:

Open Scout Oil Division
Open Scout Graphite Division
Qualified Scout Division
Open Kids Division
Open Adult Division
Pro Stock Division
Pro Modified Division
Pro Bearing Division
Corporate Pinewood Derby - May 2nd

All the rules and entry information can be found on the website... There will be some awesome activities at the races as usual - mascots, LEGO track, amazing prizes awarded to all that enter - including those that enter via proxy - even more trophies than last year...

We have special Group Rates set up at
Travel Inn Omaha
10708 M Street, Omaha, NE 68127
(402) 597-4116 - Make sure you tell them that you are with the Mid America Pinewood Derby
$99 a night.

Any of you that are coming to the race are welcome to Attend our Special Mid America Corporate Derby Event happening on May 2nd - we will provide all the food and Cocktails a great time before the races to relax and have fun before all the racing on May 3rd. Please let me know in advance if you are wanting to come to the Corporate Event - as we will have special passes made up for you. I encourage any of you that would like to support Scouting to enter a car into the Corporate Event - 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Council and Scouting. You can find information on the website about this as well... and you could enter any pro car into this race, it is a very worthy cause, as scouts are probably the direct result of why we are all here.

Good Luck to all of you that enter - if you need anything please let me know. I look forward to seeing many of you at this years event. It is truly a pinewood derby race that is all about Scouting, Families, and Top Level competition.

Greg-

Great incentive to register early! It got me to enter my car and my kids cars today. Hope we made the top 100! Having a 4 out of 100 shot at winning a best track is terrific!
