Can the same scout enter more than 1 car? Like oil and graphite? And do they have a non scout show division?

Scouts can enter multiple cars. Same for adults. Only your best car will count in each division so for example, someone with a bunch can't take 1st and 2nd place with 2 cars.

No... that is not true... You can enter multiple cars in the Pro Divisions... but in the Scout Divisions and the Adult and the Kids Division you can only enter one car per person... A scout could enter two divisions like 1 car in the open graphite and another in the open oil... for cub scouts... only 1 car per person in all divisions except pro... in the Pro Divisions you can enter multiple cars per person... I would encourage all of you to review things on the website... http://www.midamericaderby.com as all these rules and additional information is spelled out.

Thanks
Greg

I forgot to mention that we are having design awards -- many in the scout division (voted on by the Scouts)... and There is a best of show for each division that is voted on by a select panel of judges.

Yes, we plan to make new cars for Mid America this year as well. We'll likely do 2 scout cars (one graphite, one oil) and an adult car. We may do one kid car if the Scout's sister is up to it this year.

For anyone out there reading this and wondering if they should try this, DO IT! All the goodies you get back for each car entered more than cover the cost of racing and it is fun to see your car race online if you cannot attend in person.

Birddog

Birddog nailed it!

If you cannot attend, just get together at a local of your choice and watch live over the internet(think Superbowl of pinewood derby)! We enjoyed it so much the first year, we decided we needed to make the trek last year.

What an incredible event and lined up to be even bigger and better this year!

Good luck to all.
