I'm getting ready to teach a class on Pinewood Derby at our annual Council training this weekend, and I was going through the new Cub Scout Adventures to see how they tie in to Pinewood Derby. From what I see, a boy's work on a Pinewood Derby car can count toward Baloo the Builder (all parts) if he's a Bear, and toward Build It (1-4) and Engineer (2) if the boy is a Webelos. But apparently nothing for Tiger or Wolf.
Does this agree with other Cub Scout leaders' experiences?

Re: Pinewood Derby and the New Cub Scout Adventures
Hi rcmoeur welcome back!
For the Wolf Adventure.. Air of the Wolf.
They could use a pinewood derby car also..
To conduct at least one of the following investigations to see how air affects different objects.
For the Bear Claws Adventure.. Whittling chip.
If a pocket knife is used to carve out at least 2 different designs of pinewood derby cars.
As I see it also.
