Plan to build a short (20 ft) test track. Any plans/schematics out there for an inexpensive timing circuit just to check the elapsed time.?

I found this site that sale PWD timers for $37 plus $7 shipping. You can find it here. Is that cheap enough?

I stumbled upon that site too and have emailed them twice and not received a reply. I wonder if they are out of business. Shame, I really wanted to purchase two of their PWD timers for a test track I am building.

Paul, check if your spam filter is intercepting the messages. It has happened to others.

Nope . Never got caught in my spam filter. I eventually just looked up David Swanberg in the Dayton, NV white pages and called him. He informed me they are still in business and gave me an address to mail a check to. I've ordered a couple and they should arrive any day now. Really nice guy.

Don't know Wayne, but glad he wrote his page and posted it.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, or read you way to the bottom.

Here's the shortcut.

Oddly, his "Sources Consulted" (very bottom) does not include Derby Talk! :o
