I like that idea! Maybe they could be angled a bit (with a stop) for the effect?

I made a couple of these 2 years ago. The car is my Open Class entry for our Pack race. It's slowest time beat the next fastest car by 0.100 seconds! The axles aren't fully inserted because the pic was to show off the car only, it wasn't finished.
