Is it safe to say that with "official" runners, electronic scoring, and minimal outside distractions, each "heat" of racing should take about 1 minute, allowing me to approximate the total amount of racing for 58 entries at about an Hour? In planning out the day's events and activities, I just wanted to get a handle on what typically plays out with regards to running races.

We don't plan our race other than the order. It's done when it's done. We only have the school gym from 6pm to 9pm. Unless there's an electronics problem, we've never had a problem setting up, racing and cleaning up in that time frame.
58 cars and hour sounds very ambitious! It used to take about 1.5 hours to race about 50. 4 races per car. We only have 25 kids this year so we should be in great shape!
Plan on extra time to make sure the kids are present when their cars race.
