Wireless Video
Someone asked if it was possible to have a wireless connection from the computer to a projection system, but I can't find the post. I did find a unit that will do so, but it is a bit pricey. Plug the transmitter into a USB port on the computer and the receiver connects to the video input of the projector. The max range is 30ft.

Re: Wireless Video
Alternatively you can go wireless PC to TV for much less. (Note for any of these type of solutions you are only transmitting the video, no audio)

If the projector will take a component video or S-Video connection, then that would be a less expensive option.zeezop wrote:Alternatively you can go wireless PC to TV for much less. (Note for any of these type of solutions you are only transmitting the video, no audio)

You only need to transmit the video, since you are just displaying the results of each heat to the audience.
Of course, it is rather less expensive to just use a cable between the projector and computer. I got a 25ft cable for about $50. That allows more flexibility in where you place the projector with respect to the computer. But it is another cord to trip over.

MonoPrice is the king of cables. We just ordered a 50' VGA cable for $15.20.

That is a good deal!Scottbert wrote:MonoPrice is the king of cables. We just ordered a 50' VGA cable for $15.20.
They also have a 35 footer for $9.95. That is plenty long for most folks.
