Top speeds by comparison
We run a 49ft best track with elevated legs installed ( 44 feet from pin to pin )... timer in the largest holes
currently our best times at events are 3.6170 through 3.6380 ---- for anyone running a 49ft best track --- how does this compare to times you have experienced on your set up?

Re: Top speeds by comparison
That can vary depending on track setup. How level the track is, as well as the slope of the start section (this can actually vary based on how you put that section together).

Re: Top speeds by comparison
Thats kindof the point of my query --- trying to get some stats from 49ft track owners to see how well we have our track dialed in over the years. Our first event was really bad.. we had quite a few cars bouncing around hitting bad joints, as well as several that completely left the track on the outside lane..........
Times overall have gotten progressively faster over the years, and top speeds now go over 207mph with those 3.617's, so im just curious even knowing there are some variables as to the experience of others.

you might to ask for a few speed demons around here to do a car and send to you and see how those times compare. To see how well the pack is doing compared to speedsters.
something to think about.
Thats a odd length of track. most packs I know run 32 / 35.
49 foot is a odd lenth to me anyhow.
so might be hard to find someone with that length to get some cross time comparisons. To see what they average and there highs and lows.
But really you need a car from that track with a known times and then ran on you're track to compare.

Our pack uses a 49ft All-Aluminum 'Freedom Series' track (43.5ft from pin to pin) for our pack...and although a totally different track the times ranged from 3.50 - 3.60 for the faster cars...pack529holycross wrote:We run a 49ft best track with elevated legs installed ( 44 feet from pin to pin )... timer in the largest holes
