car time conversion to longer track

Post by harrdani2 »

My son just won his packs derby. I was noticing the professionals run on a 42" track. The track we used was a 40" microwizard track. Over 16 races his cumulative time was 50.3550 with an average speed of 216.64. How would I convert this to the 42" length track to know an average speed in time per seconds(ex. 3.1 seconds or 2.9 seconds) for one race down the track. Again he had 16 races to get the time and speed I reported. Thanks for any help.

In my experience with pack track setups, the setup of a single track can vary so widely from one setup to the next, that it is impossible to compare times from the SAME TRACK on different days. Attempting to compare times of different track TYPES would be even more difficult and lead to results that are not meaningful, in my view.
