When talking circuits, a breadboard is something you use to layout and test the circuit without needing to solder anything. The breadboard has holes that the components are inserted into and provides connection between components.

The breadboard is the white thing that all the components are wired into. What we have here are the accelerometer, the LED Matrix, the Arduino Nano (in the middle), the power supply (3.7v LiPo) and the voltage converter board.davet wrote:oh man! That sounds interesting. When you say breadboard are you referring a real breadboard or is that tech lingo for some kind of circuit board?
Gonna be fun to get all this junk stuffed in there. Suffice to say that the breadboard itself is only for prototyping...we'll have to wire the connections ourselves for the final dealie.

I get it. Didn't even know those existed but very cool. What is that big square item in lower left with the circles?

That's the 8x8 LED matrix. It will be center mounted in the car body, and display text and simple graphics.davet wrote:I get it. Didn't even know those existed but very cool. What is that big square item in lower left with the circles?
