Whare did all these Indians come from.
Thought I'd give this topic a catchy title to share with you all some
YMCA Indian Guides Pinewood Derby Cars.
This car type uses a C clip retainer to hold the wheels on and a 1/8'' solid rod axle type
That is just a touch larger in diameter.. to that of the pine car brand kits solid axle type.
There wheel types are clearish white and black in colors.
These shark looking car's are 7 1/2" long and 2 3/4" wide with a 5 1/4'' wheel base. weight 6.0 ounce.
Regular car types:
If you have never seen the YMCA Indian Guides Pinewood Derby Car type hope you have enjoyed the pics of a few.

Here's some side view's of the car:
The car is 10 inches long and 5 inches wide.. with a 5 inch wheel base ..
1/4'' x 5 inch long solid axle .. 2 inch diameter wheels .. and pushnuts to hold the wheels on.. weight is 24 ounces.
The vintage.. YMCA Indians guides Chule Car.

What did they race those on?
Looks wider than a Street Rod or a Big Rig?

Eagle that's a good question! Must have been on a wood track with no center rail.. or a special built track with a wide center rail.
I have search most all the YMCA kit topics here on DT for the Chule car ..
Some say the chule car was the Royal Ranger wooden axle dowel kit: and Maximum Velocity even shares some info about it here:
https://www.maximum-velocity.com/royal- ... ood-derby/
Iv even read in some of the YMCA topics on DT.. that some say the Chule car could have been made from the indy products fastcar kit as well.
https://indyproducts-com.3dcartstores.c ... t_p_9.html
I have one of these fastcar kits and it is very close in size.
The YMCA adventure guides princesses cars.. they are using the Pinecar brand kits now or days.
Iv even seen YMCA videos where there using BSA kits .. it's because what ever the club has for tracks to race on the kit type they use so the car will fit the track.

Okay Eagle, what the Indy Product's Fast Car kit looks like to the chule.
Kit block is 4.5 inch wide by 2 inches tall x 10 in long.. 1 3/4" wheels
Long axle for the front short for the back per the plans.
There wheel base is longer and not as wide:
The Chule car is just under 10 inches long.
Top view looking down:
Side view angle.. there nose to nose
Here's some links I discovered to To some vintage YMCA Indians guides car's that have sold at auctions check out there wheel and axle type:
Green Car Seen In back ground.. has sliver paint over the logos on the wheel.
