Re: Sally - From the movie cars - UPDATED PICTURES! FINAL RESULT
Thanks! I was almost DQ'ed in judging because they thought it was just a plastic car over a wooden chassis.

Re: Sally - From the movie cars - UPDATED PICTURES!!!
The race was last weekend. Sally wasn't the fastest car on the track but she did win "Best of Show". It was entered in the adult division but was my preschool daughter's car. She was so proud of her winnings. http://i41.tinypic.com/1zoi2bt.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/21ou2cn.jpg http://i44....

Re: axle prep order
I have an axle guide, and a RR tool. Would you polish before or after the RR tool?

Re: Body Hub Prep
we always round over the bottom edge of the chassis by the axles so that the hub will rub on a smaller area if it does bump into the body. I round it up high enough to where the only part of the hub that could touch is the top 1/16 of an inch. Don't go too high or it will pinch.

axle prep order
This is my first year of having several tools such as the pro-body tool, axle press, etc...
My question is this, do you recommend using the tools before or after the polishing?
I can rationalize both ways in my mind but want to know what your opinion is. Thanks!

I did have time to post all the replies so my apologies if I am off the mark.
Have you considered something besides wood for the handles? Most small brushes used in plumbing to administer flux have a shiny chrome handle and are very light weight. Just a thought.
