its an unfortunate circumstance, that i never thought i would encounter.

its a voting process, stuffing the ballot box was suggested, as was making "too nice" of cars was also suggested, sad to have ones integrity slammed like that

I have to pass along, that this year was a rough pinewood. Not becuase we didnt win a race, but because for the first time, we had a parent who was mad at the peoples choice car show results, suggested they were fixed and it was the first black mark on what had been a genuine success spanning 8 year...

Way to go. Our last derby is next January. I am planning the best for last, i hope it works. We have never won fastest car in pack or den, so maybe this year. I will be completely satisfied with the smile on my boys face more than a win. Nice Job!

i hear ya, I do wonder if what we have started here will continue, after we age out next year

we do a booth at the scout show each year with our track and build cars specific to the theme of the show. We are toying with the idea of conducting a "How to" or "Tricks of the Trade" addition to the booth. Not sure logistically or how practical that is in that venue, but it is ...

We really felt that the essence of the event wasnt just being the fastest, it was also, and more to the point, the journey to get to the race, with the race being the apex of the experience.
