Where to get the pins for BetaCrafts track plating?

Post by DerbyNut »

Hi again,

I was browsing some sites for the challenger plans more and found a picture of the track with pins used to join the track together for alignment. I had ordered and received 4 pieces of the track and it has two holes on each end but no pins. Their site does not show these pins forsale. I assume I can just try going to a hardware store and getting something that will match that size. Has anyone else does this? Below is a picture on the web site of the track with the pins sticking out the end:

Thanks!!

Maybe that was an oversight by Beta Crafts. I'd give them a call.

I've bought just the pins in the past. Give them a call and I'm sure they will get you set up. I do have some extras if you can't get any from them.

I have some Beta Craft here. The pin size is .125". You could cut up a 1/8" welding rod, (available at tool rental stores) and do a little touch up chamfering with a file. A roofing nail will also work.
