RaceReplay Software Version 2.0 Released
Posted: Tue Sep 01, 2009 11:06 am
RaceReplay™ Version 2.0 has just been released! Several new features have been added along with many improvements to make the software easier to use and more versatile.
To find out more, please visit GrandPrix Software Central's RaceReplay page at http://grandprix-software-central.com/racereplay/.
Here's a summary of what's new:
Control Screen
+ Added the ability to control the video from one screen and display the video on another, when running a dual monitor setup. Video controls can be left on the computer screen while the video display can be placed on the screen that the audience views.
+ The Control screen allows you to use large icons on the toolbar and label each button (or not) or you can go compact and use the small icons and no button labels.
+ The Video Display screen will only display the video (no menu, toolbar, video track bar, or status bar), to make for a clean display to the audience.
Remote Control
+ Added the ability for another application, like GrandPrix Race Manager V9.0, to control the video recording and replay from a separate computer. The computer running RaceReplay and the controlling computer do need to be networked together for this to work. You still have the ability to run both programs from the same computer.
Video Display Screen
+ Added Frame Step, Mute and Volume buttons to the toolbar for easier access.
+ Added the ability to hide the toolbar, status bar and video track bar.
+ Added a right mouse click menu with some basic video controls. This is handy when using the separate Control screen but still need access to some of the video controls from the Video Display screen.
+ Added the number of milliseconds to the display for current video position and duration.
Video Playback
+ Added the ability to set for full screen playback without first starting video playback.
+ Added the ability for the mouse wheel to jog through the video, forwards or backwards. You can also also use Right and Left Arrow keys for that jogging.
+ The Zoom Level drop-down list will now give you a level that will maximize the video display based on the resolution of the computer screen it is being displayed on.
Snapshots
+ Added the ability to capture snapshots from the live video preview or even while recording.
Video File Cleanup
+ Added an option to have deleted video clips sent to the Windows recycle bin.
+ Added an option on the Setup screen to cleanup video clips with the click of a button. RaceReplay will still periodically do an automatic cleanup, if so configured.
+ Added an option to have no file storage limit.
General
+ Added support for Windows 7.
+ The location for video files and clips can be specified during install. Users can put these files where they can more easily access them.
+ Fixed problem with some keyboard shortcuts not always working.
+ Fixed problem with setting the volume level in Windows Vista.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email or PM me.
Thanks,
